A 21st century artist's studio and art gallery based in the Northern Lake District area of Cumbria, incorporating traditional vernacular features and materials in a modern design, exhibiting contemporary paintings by Sue Glassford and other artists.
A Grade II listed clay, cruck thatched longhouse restored to its 17th century format with a grant from English Heritage.
Visitors are welcome to visit by chance or by appointment, but it is advisable to ring if you are travelling any distance.

Sharp Edge Galleryis named after Sharp Edge Ridge on Blencathra. It was formed out of the Mountain Painters Gallery, which was located in Patterdale in the English Lake District. We began trading in Keswick in December 2002, then moved to our new location there in April 2004.
The gallery's aim is to provide an outlet for the work of a group of Cumbrian artists and displays work by John Campbell, Tessa Kennedy, Jackie Oglesby, Bob Park, Tony Riley, Roma Short and Bill Taylor.

The Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal houses a 350 seat Malt Room for music events (former racking room and cask store), a Photographic Gallery (the sugar store), the Warehouse Gallery for visual arts, a drama studio (malt store), art and crafts workshops (brewing room and cooling room), darkroom facilities (hop room), playgroup and meeting rooms, restaurant (malt hopper) and the famous Vats Bar.

Nestling between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales a rescued Farfield Mill opened its doors in April 2001 to a exciting new life as an Arts and Heritage Centre. This followed extensive refurbishment after it ceased production as a woollen mill, which spanned 156 years, 1836 – 1992.
Resident artists include Angela Bradley - Knitwear Designer, Rebecca Callis - Ceramics and Glass, Dilys Creations - Silk, Velvet and Pewter, Liam Donnelly - Hardwood furniture maker, Graham Glynn - Potter, Annie Hudson - Artist, Wendy B Jones - Painter, Keith Owen - Dent Country Furniture, Laura Rosenzweig - Weaver, Maria Santos-Alcantara - Pewter work, Peter Stockdale - Photographer and Bryan Trueman - Artist/Potter.
